Our Unique Burrows Bay Residence In Anacortes WA.

We live in a community of sixteen residential units adjacent to Skyline Marina on Fidalgo Island of the San Juan Islands just adjacent to Canada. We share this location with the rest of the wildlife here including boaters, killer and gray whales, great blue herrons, bald eagles, numerous seals and dolphins, deer, birds, and an occational ospray or two.

About The Ship Harbor Area

Located on the north shore of Fidalgo Island in Washington State's Puget Sound, Anacortes was founded in 1879 by railroad surveyor Amos Bowman and named in honor of his wife, Anne Curtis.  Bowman promoted Anacortes as the "New York of the West," ultimately failing to establish the urban center he envisioned. But those who were drawn to Anacortes established a vital and uniquely progressive small town of today.

Gateway to the San Juans!

Several opportunities exist for recreation like whale watching, fishing including charters, camping areas, walking bicking or hiking trails, social events, boat shows, art exhibits and community service opportunities all abound in Anacortes,
